Novant Health- Building a Community with Care

Clemmons, North Carolina

Design Dimension was selected by the Chancellor’s Task Force at University of Carolina at Chapel Hill to create an exhibit to tell the full story of Carolina Hall, once named Saunders Hall. The classroom building was named after alumnus William Laurence Saunders in 1922.  In 2015 the University Board of Trustees renamed the building after taking a deeper look into campus history.  To quote from the UNC website, the three chairs of the task force state that “their charge from the chancellor was to teach an honest and thoughtful account of Carolina’s history that will encourage people to respectfully engage in difficult dialogues.”
