IBM - Watson Jeopardy! Challenge

project type: fabrication , graphics

In 1997 an IBM computer named Deep Blue defeated chess master Gary Kasparov in a much-publicized match. In the years since then, IBM’s has continued its quest to create more powerful computer systems.

In 2011, after years of research and programming, IBM unveiled Watson, a ‘Deep Question Answer’ computer with the ability to compete at the popular TV game of Jeopardy!. Design Dimension was asked to assist with design, build and install the set and enclosure for the Watson super-computer for its appearance on the TV game show in February, 2011. The enclosure includes a roof and glass front and back walls that display static and projected logo art and icons. Design Dimension is very proud of the work we did to produce the face of Watson.
