The Lowes Pavillion, a collaborative design project led by Mike Cindric and Vinny Petrarca, had a grand reception at the North Carolina Museum of Art on Thursday, September 6, 2007.

Along with other designers from Mr. Petrarca’s studio, Tonic Design, Chuck Samuels and Marianne Prince of Design Dimension interfaced with the design team on the early brainstorming, site planning, and conceptual designs.

The structure is a steel super-structure with perforated aluminum “skin” and wood decking. Designed to serve as an outdoor classroom, the shelter will provide a space where visiting groups can receive orientation to the museum’s Art Park and the surrounding area.

The structure was built by Cindric, Petrarca and the Tonic Design/ Build team.
